Construction Materials Testing Technicians: 


General Responsibilities:
As a CMT Technician, you will be asked to perform routine field and/or laboratory work, transport samples and documentation, and support a growing team of technicians and geotechnical engineers. 

Essential Functions and Duties:
-Testing of concrete, soil, and asphalt
-Observing pier installation and reinforcing steel
-Performing sampling and testing
-Supporting other field and/or laboratory personnel
-Cleaning equipment, vehicles and work areas
-Interest in learning new skills, and obtaining additional certifications

-High School or GED Diploma
-Current valid Texas driver's license


-Experience at Geotechnical Engineering and/or Construction Materials Testing firms
-ACI and/or NICET Certification 
-Nuclear density gauge safety training


Professional Engineer:


  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas.

  • At least 10 years of technical experience in the geotechnical field.

  • Marketing and organizational experience on private and public projects.

  • Strong communication and writing skills.

  • Creative thinker, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.



  • Business Development and consulting engineering.

  • Lead and develop the marketing team and pursue new clients.

  • Manage and grow existing client relationships.

  • Coordinate production of prime and sub-consultant proposals, including organizing meetings, setting and meeting deadlines, conducting research, and leading the overall production and delivery efforts.

  • Experience in project management, proposal, and report review and preparation. 

  • Overseeing quality control, report review, and management of projects. 

  • Coordinate site and client visits as needed with other company PE's to ensure that mandatory visits are completed.

  • Overseeing maintaining accreditation of laboratories through CCRL, AASHTO, State DOT, USACE, and/or other applicable agencies/programs.

  • Assist in the professional development of staff and field personnel.
